How reviews work and why the first few matter most.
After a contract completes, you and the client can review each other. Your reviews show on your public profile and are one of the first things a client looks at when comparing applications.
A review is a star rating and a short comment. They only exist on completed contracts, so every review on your profile is attached to real, paid work.
The first two or three reviews do most of the work in getting you hired. Early on, it is worth taking a smaller contract to complete cleanly rather than holding out for a large one.
