Terms of Service
Last updated 19 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of Freelo, an online marketplace operated by PT Prima Teknologi ("Freelo", "we", "us") that connects clients with independent Indonesian freelancers ("talent"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
01Who can use Freelo
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Talent must complete identity verification (KYC) before applying to work or receiving payouts. Each email address is tied to a single role — an account is either a client or a talent, not both.
02Contracts between clients and talent
Freelo provides the platform; the work agreement is between the client and the talent. When a client hires a talent, a fixed-price contract is created for the agreed amount. Freelo is not a party to that contract and does not employ talent.
03Escrow and payments
Client payments are held in escrow through our licensed payment partner (DOKU) and are not released to the talent until the client approves the delivered work. Funding a contract authorises Freelo to hold the amount; approval authorises its release.
Money never moves without the client's approval or a dispute decision. Payouts are made to the talent's verified Indonesian bank account.
04Fees
Freelo charges a flat platform fee of 10%, deducted from the talent's share when the escrow is released. Posting a job, receiving proposals, and messaging are free. We do not charge subscriptions or per-application fees.
05Disputes
If a client and talent cannot agree on delivered work, either party may open a dispute on a funded contract. The escrow is frozen while the dispute is open. If the parties do not reach agreement, Freelo reviews the contract history and issues a binding decision on how the escrow is split, which may include a full refund to the client.
06Acceptable use
You agree not to use Freelo for unlawful purposes, to circumvent the escrow or fee system by transacting off-platform, to misrepresent your identity, or to post content that is fraudulent, infringing, or harmful. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
07Liability
Freelo provides the platform "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality, legality, or outcome of work performed, nor for indirect or consequential losses. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees we received on the contract in question.
08Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and disputes with Freelo are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jakarta.
