Managing a contract and approving work

Contract statuses, the Delivered flag, and the one irreversible button.

The contract page is the single source of truth for a piece of work: its status, the escrow, the chat, the timeline of everything that has happened, and the job details you agreed on.

StatusWhat it means
Awaiting client fundingYou have not paid yet. Work has not started.
ActiveEscrow funded. The talent is working.
DeliveredThe talent marked the work done. Your move.
CompletedYou approved. The escrow released.
DisputedA dispute is open. The escrow is frozen.
CancelledEnded without completion. Any escrow was returned.

A contract also shows an "overdue" flag once the due date has passed by a day and nothing has been delivered. It is a prompt to chase, not a penalty.

Why Confirm & complete is greyed out

You cannot approve work that has not been submitted. The button unlocks once the talent marks the contract delivered. If they have finished but not marked it, ask them in the chat.

Confirm & complete releases the escrow to the talent immediately and cannot be undone. If something is wrong with the delivery, use the chat first, and open a dispute if you cannot agree. Do not approve and then ask for money back.
