What Freelo is and how it works
Escrow-protected fixed-price contracts between clients and verified Indonesian talent.
Freelo connects clients with identity-verified Indonesian freelancers. What makes it different from a job board is the escrow: the client pays before work starts, Freelo holds the money, and it only moves when the client approves the delivered work.
- 01
A client posts a job
Free, and takes a few minutes. Only KYC-verified talents are allowed to apply.
- 02
Talents apply with a bid
Each application costs the talent one apply token. The client can shortlist, chat, and counter-offer.
- 03
The client hires and funds the escrow
Awaiting client fundingAccepting a bid creates a contract. The client pays the full amount by card; Freelo holds it.
- 04
The talent works and marks it delivered
DeliveredNothing is paid automatically. Delivery is a signal to the client, not a payment trigger.
- 05
The client approves — escrow releases
CompletedFreelo deducts a flat 10% fee from the talent's side and sends the rest to their verified bank account.
If the two sides disagree, either can open a dispute. The escrow freezes immediately and nobody — including Freelo — can move the money until it is resolved.
What Freelo does not do yet
- Hourly contracts. Every contract is a single fixed price agreed up front.
- Milestones. One contract holds one escrow amount, released once.
- Wallets or stored balances. Money is either in your bank, or in escrow.
