Notifications
The bell icon, unread counts, and what actually triggers an alert.
The bell in the top bar shows how many unread notifications you have. Counts above nine display as "9+". Opening the dropdown marks everything as read at once, so read it when you have time to act on it.
What triggers a notification
- Someone applies to your job, or you are shortlisted, hired, or not selected
- An offer is sent, countered, accepted, or declined
- A contract is funded, delivered, completed, or cancelled
- A dispute is opened, a split is proposed, or a decision is made
- A payout or refund changes state
- A new chat message arrives
Important events are emailed too, so you will not miss a funding request or a dispute deadline just because you were signed out.
Badges in the navigation
Separate from the bell, the top navigation shows small counters — unread proposals on a job for clients, and pending payouts for talents. These are live counts, not notifications, and they do not clear when you open the bell.
